Parents who have ASD

Tue 02 Feb 2021 12:42pm

Hello everyone,

Life is tough in lockdown and I wondered if anyone has any tips about parenting when you have ASD.

I have a 4 year old and I struggle to want to play with him sometimes.

When we do play, I get lost in thought and can't really get stuck in.

Can anyone relate? How do you work around this?

The person who needs to control everything, the one who insists that everything must be wright at all times, suffering from a mental illness that impedes their normal functioning.

Hi everyone! My name is Chantel and I am a student studying Psychology at the University of Northampton.

I grew up with many struggles which were disregarded as "anixety" but now, at 21 and after alot of research, I have come to realise I proably have Aspergers and/or ADD. Due to this ive developed a big interest in the differences between sexes in ASD, because of how often girls go undiagnosed.

To pass one of my modules I have to conduct a research project. I have chosen to...
